UNC vs. State
Hubby is a State fan, if you didn't know...
Even though he is truly a super-duper silent Carolina hater, I don't think I will be able to take all the B.S. from the other Carolina haters if we lose.
Scary...
viaThis makes me think of Keith Urban's new song "Til Summer Comes Around".... woe is me, I miss you summer!!
...you had to go I understand...
...but you promised you'd be back again...
...and so I wander around this town...
...'til summer comes around...

A Day In The Life: Weekend recap...
- Friday night:
*cooked dinner and spent the evening curled up on the couch with the hubs...
*watched, while tears streamed down my face, the Hope for Haiti telethon... hands down the best performance of the evening Justin Timberlake + Matt Morris... so moving...
- Saturday:
*met the hubs' parents for brunch at Biscuitville where yummy breakfast and fantastic conversation were had...
*went for a walk/jog/run... my legs are feeling the burn today, which is good and bad!
*sat 3rd row at the George Strait/Reba concert... for free... with my best girl! SO.MUCH.FUN!
- Sunday:
*no-shower Sunday was in full effect!
*Fort-Knoxed our house (ie: closing all windows, curtains, blinds, etc... and barracading self on couch w/ comfy blankets, hubby, and kitty cats)
*took at nap
*watched football
*ate popcorn
*generally enjoyed doing nothing at all
Monday... why oh why must you come so soon...

... things that I am not currently liking at the moment...
- the TarHeels... seriously boys, GET IT TOGETHER.
- the cold rain. When is spring, again?
- when you make a comment on someone's status on Facebook and then get 20 notifications where other people also make comments on their status... this is uber annoying...
- my throat hurting...
- the fact that my $8-a-bottle OPI nail polish chips off in less than 2 days...
- waking up 30 mins before my alarm is supposed to go off because I have to pee... real bad.
- the fact that I know a bazillion people who are either having babies/recently had babies/currently pregnant... I'm glad you can sneeze and get pregnant. Not that I'm not happy for you, I'm just a bitter, bitter girl.
- summer seems like a LIFETIME away...
- the thought of getting into a bathing suit in 2 short months... (we are going to the beach for an impromptu spring break in March... must lose AT LEAST 10 lbs before then... especially if I want to get said bathing suit)
- that I still have another 30 mins until lunch... this is the only time during the work day that makes me happy
- when I forget to say 'no mushrooms' when I place my order at the Thai restaurant... ugh.
- One Tree Hill. this week's episode sucked... a lot. (don't judge me for still continuing to watch a teeny-bopper show)
- people with attitudes and who are so moody you don't even want to be around them... **I REALLY don't like this at the moment**
- the fact that I'm at work and not at home curled up on the couch with a certain boy...
- spending 8 hours a day at a certain place...
- being able to hear 102 Jamz from my co-worker's computer...
Maybe this will help explain the constant scowl I'm wearing as of late... that is all.

In keeping with the summer theme... isn't this the cutest suit ever!?!? I love it! This is definitely on my summer wish list!!
A Day In The Life... Lack of motivation edition
I realized today that I haven't posted much lately to let you guys know what's going on with me. I've been posting lots of randomness, rants, raves, and that's cool, but hopefully you guys come here because you actually want to know what's going on in my life. Whether it's because you're nosey or you genuinely care, either way, here are a few updates:
- I am totally lacking motivation as of late. Over the holidays I ate and sat around way too much, and now I'm paying for it... well, my pants are paying for it. I desperately need to get active. I've been thinking about getting Wii Fit... does anyone have any suggestions on that? Is it worth the money? Would I use it? I'm hoping that I'll be able to take advantage of being outside soon... I'm hoping that Sean and I can do our walks again in the evening without it being completly pitch dark by the time we get home. "something's gotta give, gotta give pretty soon..."
- I am so, so, so grateful for my family. We went to TN this past weekend to spend time with my aunt + uncle and cousins. We rode, in a van, mom, dad, Sean + I, and my brother and his wife... good times! For a split second I thought, "ok, we're 30 years old, is it still necessary to take road trips with our parents"? Absolutely. My family means SO much to me, and it's becoming more apparent every day. My aunt battled (and beat) cancer last year... my uncle had 2 strokes... my dad almost lost his job and everything that he's worked so hard for the last 30 years for... my cousin's had babies... so many life-changing things have happened to our family, and it only makes me want to spend more time with them.
- I am completely and utterly in love with my husband. He is, hands down, the best thing that has ever happened to me. Last night, on our way home from the grocery store, of all places, we were chatting about how we can't stand to be apart and how much we enjoy being with each other. Not like previous relationships we'd both been in where you find ways to do things separately, or not come home right after work... but not with us. We could easily spend every single second of every single day together. I know, it's kind of sickening, but it makes me so happy. He is the ray of light that fills my day when I've had enough. He makes everything ok, even when it seems like it's at it's worst. He spoils me... a lot! And he loves me unconditionally. What an amazing gift!
- I want to spend more time in prayer and with the Lord. You guys know how much we want to start a family, and that often weighs heavily on my mind. I'm also not happy with another aspect of my life that takes away so much of my days and time. I'm working on that now, looking at other options, but that too weighs heavy on my mind. This is something I have promised myself that I am going to work on... for me. Just like trying to lose weight and getting healthy physically, I want to get healthy mentally as well.
Wow, that was a lot, huh? So just a little glimpse into a day in the life... now you know!

Blah...
I am seriously in a Debbie Downer blah blah blah mood today...
Tell me something to cheer me up!

Avett...
Ok, so I may be jumping on the Avett Brothers train a bit late, but I have to blog about these guys... they are AH-MAZING! I have been blasting their new album, "I and Love and You" on my iPod for the last couple of weeks, and can't get enough of their punky, bluegrass-y, harmony. It's fantastic!
If you don't know, now you know... check them out here!
They are definitely on my 2010 concert must see list!

Happy (BELATED)...
I forgot to wish my sweet, sweet momma a Happy Birthday!
Her birthday was on the 3rd, so I'm only... well... 9 days late.
Sorry, momma! You know I love you with ALL my heart and I honestly don't know what I would do without you. You are not only my mom, but my best friend and confidante. Thank you for loving me unconditionally and always being there for me.
Since you are one of the only ones who reads my blog... this post is for you, momma!
I love you!

viaThis is more like what it looks like outside.
(my camera battery is about to die, so that's why I'm borrowing pictures... damage control)
Dear Summer,Please hurry. It's snowing like crazy in Nashville right now, and while that's cool (literally) and everything, I'm desperate for your beautiful, sunny days spent at a show with my barefeet in the grass, or a cold beer while I'm sitting on the beach, wearing my favorite flip flops, and so much more. Just wanted you to know you are missed.
XOXO!

A Day in the Life... Nashville edition
So Abby and I made it to Nashville... finally. Thanks, Mother Nature, for sending a snow storm TODAY?!? It only took us about 10 hours to get here!?!? Here's what's going on...
... late start this morning, there was a nail in our tire... good thing we had that checked out.
... stopped in Bristol and had lunch with my lovely aunt! Love her SO much!
... ate Scooby Snacks on the ride... they are bangin!
... drove through a crap-ton of snow, stuck in traffic, in one spot, for about an hour.
... ate a killer club sandwich in the hotel restaurant (hotel is quite nice, I might add)
... it's stupid-kind of cold outside... supposed to be below ZERO tomorrow night!?!? BELOW ZERO, people??
... getting ready to put my pj's on and watch the Bama/Texas game and crash out before 10pm (Nashville time, that is)
... missing my hubs...
That is all.
