Gone...

So sorry my friends to leave you hanging... I have been a bad blogger lately and it's not going to get much better in the upcoming days. I am off to Kansas for race weekend. Leaving tomorrow and will be back on Monday. I may or may not be blogging while in the land of Oz, so I'm going to apologize now, but I promise to have lots of funny stories and pictures upon my return!!!

Love, love, love!

Change...

via gatekeeper

It's Sunday evening and I'm feeling pretty sorry for myself. My allergies are killing me, I can't fit into my jeans and tomorrow is the first day of Fall, and I have a hellacious week at work coming up. However, I'm not going to let it get the best of me...
I know that I am the only one who can make myself feel better. I have to have faith in me. And I know I can do it. With a little faith, a little determination, I can reach my goals.
I feel like things are about to change and I'm excited about it. So many times I'm nervous about change, no I don't like it I want to stay right in my safe, warm little corner of the world. But nope, not this time, I'm taking charge and making a change. A good one. For me. And for my family.

Boots On...

In honor of Randy Houser's visit to camp tomorrow, I have a couple of boot questions...

(If you haven't seen his video for "Boots On", check it out, it's SO cute! http://www.randyhouser.com/)

Ok, so I have been pining over this dress (and purse)... but which boots do you like best?

These...

Or these...
I just can't decide??? I like them both. I tried the top pair on this weekend and they are SUPER comfortable!! I like how they are casual but you could dress them up too. They have the 2nd pair in brown too, so I may get the top pair in gray and bottom in brown (hubby, I hope you're not reading this... )
Disclaimer: Both of these boots are at Target and are less than $35.00!!

GPOYSW: 98.7 Simon Mixer Edition
Here we are, my co-workers and I, working hard for the money at one of the last 98.7 Simon Mixers. How devestating is it that we can't drink, but yet we are serving ALCOHOL!?!?! Go figure...

Weekend plans...

Ok, so this is my last weekend I don't have to work for the next 6 weeks or so. I really want to do something fun with the hubs... any ideas, suggestions, thoughts?
I wish I would look half this cute when I get preggers... Matthew Mc-hot-e-hey is one lucky guy!!

Ouchie...

The flu shot is a requirement here at camp.

I'm not usually a baby about getting a shot, like some of my co-workers... but my arm feels like it's about to fall off.

At least I won't get the flu...

Dinnertime...

In an effort to lose weight and be a little more healthy, Sean and I have designated each night during the week a specific "night"... hopefully we can stick to this...

Monday: Grilled chicken / salmon night
Tuesday: Lean Cuisine / sandwich night
Wednesday: Casserole night
Thursday: Lean Cuisine / sandwich night
Friday: Grilled chicken / salmon / out to eat night

HOORAY, tonight is CASSEROLE NIGHT!!!!!!!!! Healthy, casserole, that is!!!!!!!!
Holy crap, babe, look Zac Efron is a STATE fan!?!?! Who knew??? Now hopefully you won't give me crap about blogging about him... maybe??

A Day in the Life: Weekend recap edition...

Friday: On my way to work and my car breaks down... smoke billowing out from underneath the hood, couldn't even get it in neutral to push it out of the middle of the road broken down. $600, a new starter + battery later, Cammie is as good as new... hopefully.

Enjoyed playing "hookie" from work with hubs!! Spent the night with Dana and may or may not have had 1 too many glasses of wine...

Saturday: Inhaled a sausage egg mcmuffin from McDonald's (to help w/ that '1 glass of wine too many'), almost fell asleep while enjoying an hour-long massage at Grandover for D's birthday w/ Miss and Fran... tried to eat healthy by eating a salad pool side at Grandover.

Ate really bad at Buffalo Wild Wings for D's birthday celebration which may or may not have included beer, wings, fries, onion rings, and mini corndogs...

Played about 100 games of cornhole and won about half of the ones I played! Went to bed WAY too late!!

Sunday: Enjoyed Sunday Homestyle Chicken at Cracker Barrell w/ the hubs... then may or may not have also enjoyed a Cook-Out Style burger, fries, corndog, and milkshake from Cook-Out... I.am.so.ashamed.

Monday: Had brunch at the in-laws which was FABULOUS and spent the day w/ my hubs running errands, cleaning the house and watching football!

Nice way to spend a holiday weekend if I do say so myself! And yes, I am going to work out tonight... clearly.
"Whenever I get gloomy with the state of the world, I think about the arrivals gate at Heathrow Airport. General opinion’s starting to make out that we live in a world of hatred and greed, but I don’t see that. It seems to me that love is everywhere. Often it’s not particularly dignified or newsworthy, but it’s always there - fathers and sons, mothers and daughters, husbands and wives, boyfriends, girlfriends, old friends. When the planes hit the Twin Towers, as far as I know none of the phone calls from the people on board were messages of hate or revenge - they were all messages of love. If you look for it, I’ve got a sneaky feeling you’ll find that love actually is all around. ”

Fall...

While I love summer and all that comes with it, I am always ready to see each season end and a new one begin. The weather this week has been absolutely perfect! Fall is quickly becoming one of my favorite, seasons!

I LOVE the cooler weather... what a relief after all those scorching hot summer days...
I LOVE the colors... love when the leaves start changing, and the mums...
I LOVE football... college opener TONIGHT, baby!!
I LOVE wearing flip flops and jeans... nothing like being outside and not sweating your a*s off!!
I LOVE pumpkin spice lattes from Starbucks. Period.

Sore...

I am determined to exercise. It is just not convenient for me to join a gym, I live in the middle of nowhere and work in the middle of nowhere, not even remotely close to a gym or park or anything like that. Obviously I am not a runner, so the idea of just going out for a 'jog' makes me want to vomit.

So... my mom told me about an aerobics class at a local church on Tues and Thurs nights from 5:45-7:00. Cool, aerobics at church... and the best part... they are FREE!!! WHOO HOO!!!

I went this past Tuesday, and well, I LOVED IT!! I am SO sore today!! Like boot camp sore!! I'm really excited about this opportunity... it's free, close to home, 2 days a week, it's perfect!! So wish me luck in this exercise endeavor!!

FOOTBALL!!!!

I'm SUPER PUMPED about college football season in full effect today!!! State is playing SC and because the hubs is a HUGE State fan, I, in fact am a State fan too!

*Disclaimer: I cheer for State UNLESS they are playing Carolina.

In honor of Miss D's birthday festivities, she and I and her mom + our other best girl, Missy are heading to Grandover to get massages and be pampered!!! Can't. freakin. WAIT!!!!!

After we spend the day being pampered and drinking fruity drinks by the pool, we are going to have these tasty little devils from Cold Stone...
"Ice cream and CAKE, CAKE, CAKE"!!!

Early Birthday...

I know it's a little early, but since I've been pretty slack on the blog-front lately, I'm going to go ahead and wish my best girl a HAPPY 30th BIRTHDAY!!!!

This is Dana, my bestest of friends! We have been through it all together, and I love her like a sister. You know how you can meet people and you just know that you'll be friends for life? That is exactly how I felt when I met Dana, who was dating my best guy friend, believe it or not!?!? She is such an important part of my life and I don't know what I would do without her!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, D!!!
