So I am getting ready to leave work for my WEEK-LONG vaycay with my hubs!!! I am beyond excited and cannot WAIT to get on the open road headed East!!!

I know you will miss my random pictures, rants, raves, etc... while I'm gone!! I promise to post lots and lots of lovely pics from our trip when I return!! Also, be ready for lots of gushy, lovey-dovey-ness from me about my hubs, since our anniversary is a week from Saturday!!

GPOYS...T(because I forgot yesterday): Happy Bride Edition
This is me, happy, happy bride!! In honor of mine + Sean's upcoming ONE YEAR WEDDING ANNIVERSARY!!! Alisa and Emily did such a fantastic job on our engagement pictures, my bridal portraits and our wedding pictures!! Thanks so much, ladies!! I love this one!! These pictures were taken at the Proximity Hotel in Greensboro... a lovely hotel, and the people there didn't even seem to mind that we just showed up, wedding dress and all, to take advantage of their beautiful hotel for pictures! Nice!

I've come to realize...

1. I've come to realize that my chest-size... is going to get even bigger when I get preggers... ugh.
2. I've come to realize that my job… is completely stressing me out, as of late. I'm ready to be preggers and take a break...
3. I've come to realize that when I'm driving... I sing... a lot... even when I'm stopped at a red light.
4. I've come to realize that I need... to attempt to stay focused the next 3 days of work before mine + Sean's week-long vacation!
5. I've come to realize that I have lost... my mind...
6. I've come to realize that there is not...
7. I have come to realize that my health... is ok. I need to be a bit healthier...
8. I've come to realize that money... is something I'd like to have more of, but am happy to have what I have!
9. I've come to realize that certain people... have extremely high metabolisms and I am jealous.
10. I've come to realize that I'll always... love my hubby. Til forever and 2 days after forever.
11. I've come to realize that my sibling(s)... is such an awesome person, and I'm so proud to be his sister.

13. I've come to realize that my cell phone... is a Blackberry and is completely addicting. If I leave camp and have to turn in my phone I will most def be getting a BB!
14. I've come to realize that when I woke up this morning... I didn't want to get up. Stupid pulled muscle in my leg kept me up half the night... ugh.
15. I've come to realize that last night before I went to sleep... I watched the finale of "The Bachelorette"... YAY Jillian & Ed & reality t.v.!!!
16. I've come to realize that right now I am thinking... I should be working instead of updating my blog... and only 3 more days of work til vacay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
17. I've come to realize that my dad... is probably the coolest person on the face of the earth, gave me his dark bushy eyebrows and keen sense of music and the love of food... all kinds!
18. I've come to realize that when I get on Facebook... I get super irritated when people do those survey's and tests like, "Which Marilyn Monroe character are you... which Michael Jackson song are you... how many kids will you have"... WHO CARES?!?!?!
19. I've come to realize that today... I'm looking forward to getting my walk on w/ Megs at Cedar Rock while the boys play disc golf...
20. I've come to realize that tonight....I'm going to start packing for our trip!!! Eager much? Why yes, yes I am!
21. I've come to realize that tomorrow... is Wednesday and Erin + I are taking a road trip to Charlotte so I'll be out of the office!!!
22. I've come to realize that I really want to... have a baby.

Funny...

Not sure if you guys know this or not, but when my mom had me, she and my dad had hair so long that it went almost down to their waists! Parted in the middle, long and straight. They were gorgeous! To say they were hippies, well, don't mean to call you out mom & dad, but yes, they were hippies.

Last night at the Gov't Mule show I spot this guy... he looked to me exactly like how my dad probably looked 35 years ago (maybe minus the man bag... maybe)! Long hair in a pony tail, tie-dyed tank top, jeans, and moccasins. You can't tell, because I didn't want to look like a complete photog, but this guy has a full beard too, just like my daddy! Sean kept getting on to me going, "stop taking that guy's picture, what are you doing"?!?! And I just kept saying, "but he looks like my daddy... he looks like my daddy"!!

So dad, even though you weren't physically at the show with me, you were there in spirit!

Weekend in review...

Weekend in review: This weekend was filled with lots of food, fun, and friends! We hung out by the pool on Saturday, which was nice because it was so flippin hot this weekend! Then we grilled out steaks with Meagan + Ernie Saturday night... always a good time!

Sunday we headed to Raleigh to see Jason Isbell open for Government Mule! It was awesome! Even though we missed Jason's first couple of songs (because we walked from our hotel to the show, which was right across the street, but we didn't think they would come on right at 5:00pm... oh well)! I had never seen Mule, and they were awesome! Jason even played a song with them! We got to meet Jason's band, Chad, Jimbo, and Derry were all really cool! Overall it was an awesome time spent with good friends!

Vince Gill sings on this track, and if you don't know, I have HUGE love for Vinny! The first concert I ever went to was Vince Gill and Trisha Yearwood. I love me some Vince Gill! This song just simply reinforces my crush on Mr. Gill... oh, and Chris isn't bad either!

HOORAY, HOORAY, HOORAY!!!!!!!

I am SUPER DUPER excited!!! This is Jason Isbell, singer / songwriter extraordinaire. If you know me, you know that I talk about him a lot and that Sean and I have seen him several times in concert!! In fact, we are headed to Raleigh this weekend to see him play!!!

But... we just found out today that he is playing an acoustic show in Winston Salem on Friday, August 7th!!!!! They are only selling 100 tickets, so it's slated to be a super intimate show!! Jason's acoustic shows are already particularly special for one because he always plays us something different and unique vs. when he plays with his band, the 400 Unit. And two because the first time Sean ever told me he loved me was at Jason's acoustic show in Raleigh last year!!! So sweet!!!

So we are cutting our stay at Wrightsville Beach one night short to go see our good friend Jason on the 7th in Winston and I am SO excited!!!

Anniversary trip... Part 2...

Because I am SUPER excited about our upcoming anniversary trip, here are some more details of our week-long vaca!!

After we spend 2 days on Roanoke Island we are hitting the road! We will be driving down the Outer Banks, vising Kitty Hawk before we head down, but along the way visiting Cape Hatteras, Rodanthe, and ending on Ocrakoke Island! This is the Ocrakoke Island lighthouse that we are DEFINITELY going to spend some time exploring!

After we spend the night in Ocrakoke we will be taking the 2.5 hour long ferry ride over to Cedar Island, and then driving down the coast until we reach our final destination... Wrightsville Beach, which is where we got married!!

We are staying in this cute little motel, the Sandpeddler, based on a recommendation from my friend Erin! We will be in Wrightsville until Friday evening! We are actually going to my friend Tina and Steve's wedding on Saturday, 8/8/09, on our actual anniversary!

What an awesome experience this is going to be for Sean and I!?!? I promise to take LOTS of pictures and blog all about it upon our return!! Oh, and we just recently became AAA members... you know, just in case!!

Hair...

I got my hair done on Tuesday night... I went back brown. I am LOVE, LOVE, LOVING it!!! Mad props to my girl Lindsay who hooked me up with a sassy new do!! (I promise to post pics ASAP)!!

I am LOVING this purse, Steven by Steve Madden. I found it whilst perusing Victoria's Secret's website this morning... somehow I don't think I can justify $134 to the hubby for this baby. *sigh*

Lots of Krispy Kreme Doughnuts, Icee's, soft-serve ice cream, cotton candy, and popcorn was consumed... along with tattoos, dancing, dunking Matt Kenseth + Carl Edward's pit crew in the dunking booth, and more! I love my lovely co-workers!

What to read??

So I'm trying to decide what to read next...

I really want to read the last Harry Potter book. I know, I know, I haven't read it yet... so DON'T tell me anything important that happens!!?!?!? I still can't believe Dumbledore died in the Half Blood Prince movie!?!??!

Most of you who read my blog will say that I should read HP first. Well, let's face it, this book is H-U-G-E. It will more than likely take me from now until the movie comes out (sometime late next year) to finish this book...

In the meantime, I really want to read this book, "The Time Traveler's Wife". I've heard really good things about it, and one of my favs, Rachel McAdams, is staring in the movie coming out next month. I'd really like to read the book BEFORE I see the movie.

Dear Readers (all 2 or 3 of you out there...),

I have been quite a lousy blogger lately, huh? For that I am sorry. I have not given any updates on boot camp, or five truths, or obnoxious celebrity gossip. I haven't given any shout-outs to my favorite people, or quoted any song lyrics.

I promise, promise, promise I will try to be better. It's hard sometimes, though. Work gets busy and life gets busy. I hardly have enough time to see my friends and family let alone write on this silly little blog.

But for whatever reason you stop by my little neck of the world wide web, I appreciate it, and I will try much harder not to let you down, my friends!!

Anniversary Trip... Part 1...

Believe it or not, mine & Sean's ONE YEAR wedding anniversary is quickly approaching!! I am still having a hard time believing that we have almost been married one whole year!! Time flies when you're having fun, huh??

So for our anniversary, the handsome one has planned a fantabulous, week-long getaway for us!! We are leaving Saturday, August 1st driving down to the Outer Banks. I'm super excited because I haven't been to the Outer Banks in many years, and Sean has never been.

This is the cabin we are staying in on Roanoke Island the first 2 nights of our trip!! Isn't it so cute!?! I love the name of the cabin, The Little Lifeboat House! We are planning on going to see the play "The Lost Colony" and venture all around Roanoke Island for 2 days!

More details to come on our getaway...

I am SUCH a sucker for reality t.v. Just like every other season, this season of The Bachelorette has me roped in! I really liked this season's bachelorette, Jillian, when Jason ousted her on The Bachelor last season. I'm really pulling for her to pick Ed! I know it's just a t.v. show, but I really like Jillian! She seems down to earth, like someone I would be friends with 'in real life'! I hope she finds love at the end of all this!
