A Day in the Life: Friday edition

Tonight I am looking forward to grilling out steaks, getting in my comfy clothes, and watching football with the hubs! It feels like fall... well, minus the nice 60 degree weather, but I'll take what I can get! Happy Weekend, all!

I have to admit that my friends have the CUTEST kids!! I was just looking at some pictures of my friend Alea's little boy Tanner who started kindergarten today... or my friend Lindsay who's little girl, Rachel, started kindergarten today too! And of course my girl Dana's little boy, Tripp, who started K-3 last week with his big boy hair cut and book bag! Good luck all you little kiddies... only 12 more years to go!?!?!

Pet peeve #245...

One of my BIGGEST pet peeves is misspelled words and bad grammar. Now, I am not known for my execptional writing skills, however, I'm a HUGE fan of spell check. And in fact, some software, I believe, even has a grammar check.

Today, myself and our PR coordinator have been trying to get a press release approved for a week in order to promote an upcoming event I am working on. We sent it to a certain someone in a, I would say, high level position here at work to approve... again. She proceeded to return it to us with a few "suggestions".

Then, I get an email from her (high level position lady) with this...

Thank you, John for your connection with FLS!! [Another high level boss' name] will fun with this shopping spree.

I know, it's just one word that's missing, but seriously, she is going to email us about a press release and then turn around and send out this email!?!?! UGH!!

Been too long...

since I've seen this girl! This is Terrin, and I have missed her so! We are having dinner tonight and I'm SUPER pumped! We have so much catching up to do, and I can't WAIT!

We're also eating sushi for dinner so I'm pretty pumped about that too!

Vacation's all I ever wanted...

Look at this beauty!! I think we are planning a trip to the mountains for this Fall and I'm SUPER excited!! My nana had a house on Sugar Mountain and we went there a lot when I was a kid. But since she passed over 10 years ago, I don't get up there as much as I would like.

I can't wait to hang out by the fire pit next to the river all bundled up in my coat and scarf, drinking hot chocolate... or something else to warm my tummy, hang out in the hot tub, play a game of pool, eat yummy dinners and make fun memories with good friends for a long weekend!!

Since this past weekend was probably our last "hoorah" at the beach, I'm setting my sights on fall. I'm ready!

If you're looking for a good laugh, You Tube Heidi Montag Pratt's performance from the Miss Universe pageant. It was actually pretty uncomfortable to watch. It's pretty sad when you have to pose for Playboy, dance and sing to a terrible song, half naked, and marry a douchy guy to get famous. I almost feel sorry for her...

I am so ADDICTED to "True Blood" on HBO. Such a scandalous show, but I find myself not being able to turn away from it!

Maybe it's the prior/ current addiction to anything "Twilight" as well, but I'm digging the vampires!!

A Day in the Life: Back to work edition...

I feel like I need a vacation from my vacation... ugh.

I feel it's appropriate, being our anniversary and all, to share with you guys mine + Sean's vows. My cousin, Chad, married Sean + I. It was his first wedding, and it meant so much to us that he was the one who married us. He wrote our vows for us, based on things that we knew we wanted to say to each other. They are beautiful, truth, real, and I want to share them with you...

One Year Ago... we spent one fantastic, sun + sand, drink in hand, week on a little island called Jamaica!!

One Year Ago... one girl got dressed up, like a princess, in a big white dress, and marry her prince charming...

One Year Ago... one boy decided to make one girl his one and only...

One Year Ago... his ask became a reality...

A day in the life: Vacation edition

A day in the life of a Newsom this week consists of the following:

- hanging out in a sweet little tree house with the hubs in the rain

- taking lots and lots of funny pictures

- eating lots and lots of yummy seafood

- listening to 2 guys play 'The Man In Me' which is the song Sean played to me at our wedding, while sitting on the beach

- sand covered toes & reading a good book

- lots and lots of sweet kisses from the handsome one & reminiscing about our wedding day, almost one year ago

Life is good for this Newsom!!
